    Additional considerations

    • Flight operations are grounded on rainy/foggy days or sustained wind speeds over 8MPH
    • We use industry standard image editing software to adjust aspect, composition and color. If you have any artistic ideas, please let us know.
    • A reasonable landing area must be available. Landing approach requires 100' long corridor 30' wide, free from trees, powerlines or other obstructions. Landing surface should be level, preferably tall grass, street, driveway, lawn, dirt (anything but bushes/trees/boulders). On a calm day we can probably catch the aircraft on landing. Landing into a head wind can help with short runways.
    • Different airframes will be used based on location and conditions. We have small airframes for tight spots and large sailplanes for wide open spaces.
    • Make sure we can see your subject property from the air (not completely covered with trees).
    • That pile of lumber you've been meaning to dispose of will really stand out in an aerial photograph. Please consider removing any unsightly items from the property.
    • Morning pictures are best as the sun is low in the sky with warm light creating higher contrast and better color (winds tend to be calm as well)
    • If there's a side of your house you prefer (typically the front), let's make sure the sun is shining on it when we deploy the aircraft.
    • We understand not all shots might be exactly what you want -- we're perfectionists too. Don't like your choices? Tell us on-site, and we'll fly again for free!
    • The Sierra Glider Airfleet is comprised of safe, quiet, battery powered planes the heaviest of which is less than two pounds. In the unlikely event of an unplanned landing (okay, crash), be assured that your property will be safe and sound. All-foam airframes are available if you have any additional safety concerns.
    • Operational altitude is between 10 and 800 feet AGL (above ground level). A 400 foot AGL ceiling is imposed within 2 miles of regulated airports.
    • Landing and takeoff area (where the pilot stands) should be within 500 feet of the subject property.
    • Haze can be an issue with long-range or horizon shots, let's watch the humidity and pick a perfect day.
    • Unsure about your location? Just give us a call. Our pilots have literally 1000's of hours of experience, we can fly just about anywhere.
    • Volume and contract discounts available.
